About Talks with Jade

Talks with Jade started after years of teaching, directing, and leading both in the studio and behind the scenes. I’ve always loved helping dancers grow, but over time, I realized the people who pour into others need someone pouring into them, too. That’s where this journey began.

After nearly three decades in the dance world, I created Talks with Jade to open up real, honest conversations around leadership, communication, and culture. It’s a space for teachers, studio owners, and anyone leading a team to step back, reflect, and reconnect with their “why.”

I’m big on clarity, curiosity, and courage. And I believe you can lead well and still laugh through the hard stuff. Talks with Jade is part motivation, part mindset shift, and part “let’s get real and figure it out together."

Be honest, be kind, and make space for real conversations.

Where It All Began

That one teacher, in one studio, completely shifted my world.

Since then, life has been full of twists, turns, heartbreaks, and victories— but the example Miss Trish set stuck with me.

Her joy. Her consistency. Her belief in us.
It planted something deep.

Because here’s the thing:
We never forget the ones who pour into us.
The ones who show up, cheer loud, and lead with love.

One person really can make all the difference.

And for me, that difference started with a dance teacher in a high-cut leotard and a long ballet skirt …who had no idea she was launching a lifelong journey with every step.

It all started in 1984 with a teacher named Miss Trish and a whole lot of patience.

She wasn’t just teaching steps—she made you feel seen.
Week after week, she showed up singing a new song,
with an electric smile and a heart big enough for every kid in the room.

She made us believe we could do anything
if we worked hard, smiled big, and remembered to have fun.

Let’s break the ice, shall we?
Beyond the dance floor, studio playlists, and rehearsal schedules—here’s a little glimpse into what makes me me.

Swipe through, take a guess, play along.
It’s trivia time, and you just might learn something unexpected.
